T.E.C.
TEENS ENCOUNTER CHRIST
T.E.C. is a three-day encounter of a lifetime for 10th through 12th graders of all denominations. During the three days of the weekend, talks are given by youth, team members, and pastors. The talks are a personal witness of struggles these teens have faced and how God has worked in and through their lives. There are times of worship, singing, playing, and reflecting, all bound together in a fun Christian atmosphere.
The T.E.C. weekend is a progression of faith going through the despair of Christ's crucifixion and ending with the triumph of the resurrection. T.E.C. deals with what it means to be a witness for the Lord: to our families, our friends, our schools, and our community, growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
T.E.C. is meant to be a Christ-centered, relationally styled experience in Christian community for teenagers. It does not seek to replace the local church, but to work with the congregations to develop in their youth a stronger sense of the identity as followers of Jesus Christ. Youth are given the opportunity to grow in personal faith and to express a corporate faith in witness and service to others. They have the freedom to consider their commitment to Christ and His church in a loving, attractive way.
